1 THE CENTER FOR YOUTH EMPOWERMENT (CYE) |

FAMILIA operates a Youth Resource Center in Kariobangi, Nairobi, known as Center for Youth Empowerment (CYE). Our Center serves over 300 needy youths at a go, dealing with among other issues: -

2 INSTITUTE FOR SOCIAL STUDIES AND ADVOCACY (ISSA) |

The ISSA is an implementing department whose purpose is to stand for the rights of the youth, children and families. It is also a training institution offering sponsored internal certificates, diplomas and Higher-diplomas. The beneficiaries must be working to improve the lives of poor communities especially youth and children. Contributions towards these courses are some of the most affordable. ST. CAROLYN’S HOSTELS: A permanent home for (FAMILIA’s) Center for Youth Empowerment (CYE) |

With the death of 7 months Carolyn Shiko, the daughter of the FAMILIA Director Fredrick, and Eunice, the Children’s Program Coordinator. Both decided to make a home in her memory that they named St. Carolyn’s Hostels. Currently, the Hostels accommodate FAMILIA CYE and cater for about 300 youths at a go. Again some of the important training equipment and this website was donated for her by Nicole and Chris, a couple from Texas. For details about this click here! |

Looking back from FAMILIA inception, we are proud to meet thousands of youths and children through empowerment, health education, counseling and awareness. We have also served the communities through our volunteers. At our level, we are happy to see our achievements. Hundreds of youths are now hoping for a brighter future. RESPONDING TO YOUTH SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH |

FAMILIA’s Center for Youth Empowerment CYE in Kariobangi South Light Industries also responds to the reproductive health needs of mostly the youth by developing and adopting appropriate information, education and communication (IEC) and referrals to service delivery institutions.
